I, Sandybell Pollock, am an autodidact artist who has been painting for about two decades.

I am a Swedish national currently based in Stockholm.

I mostly paint landscapes and portraits and prefer to use a lot of vibrant colours.

I like to experiment with different techniques and definitely go through some phases in my art.

Because I like to paint portraits I often find myself staring at strangers on the subway, studying their faces. Yeah that's not creepy.

Over the years I have found that I have to finish a painting before it is perfect: it's not about how I want it to look, but how the painting itself wants to be.

Painting is at best an exercise in imperfection.
